Contemporary R&B

Born in United States, 1980s · Soul, Funk & R&B

Rooted in classic soul and funk, it blends smooth vocals with electronic production, hip-hop rhythms, and pop sensibility. Emerging from urban American studios in the 1980s, it has since become one of the world's most commercially dominant and stylistically fluid popular music forms.
