Ads chosen by creators. Not by an algorithm.
On Spotify or YouTube, an auction decides who hears you, powered by surveillance of everything a listener does. Vinylaunch works the other way around: advertising runs through the content creators who know their audiences, so listeners hear ads that fit — and every ad dollar is split with the creators and artists it plays alongside. Creator content carries ads for everyone, paid subscribers included, because that revenue is how creators and artists get paid — held to one of the industry’s lightest ad loads so it stays welcome.
Why this isn’t Spotify or YouTube ads
Creators curate their own advertisers
On Vinylaunch, advertising primarily funnels through subscribed content creators — the people who actually know their listeners. They choose the ads that fit their audience, so your spot lands where it belongs instead of being auctioned against a stranger’s attention.
The platform doesn’t compete with its creators
We are not out curating advertisers, and we have no plans to take ad slots from creators. When platform-level inventory needs filling, it prefers ads submitted through creators’ own intake — the platform is the fallback, never the rival.
Matched to the moment, not to a profile of you
Targeting uses first-party signals only — genre, age range, time of day, the music playing right now. No tracking pixels, no cross-site surveillance, no data brokering. Ever.
An ad load listeners can actually live with
Spots run under 15 seconds, and on creator channels no more than one ad plays per 5–10 minutes — the cadence is set by the creator, not an algorithm chasing impressions. Listeners who aren’t drowning in ads are listeners who actually hear yours.
Your spend funds creators and artists
Ad revenue is split with the creators and artists your spot plays alongside — on music streaming, half of every platform ad dollar goes to artists. Advertising here is support, not extraction.
Pay only for what we deliver
Pick a time-bound guarantee or an open-ended impression buy. If we ever under-deliver on a guarantee, you choose a proportional refund or we keep running at no extra cost.
Where your spot runs
Creator content— VLogCasts, video channels, and internet radio — carries ads for every viewer, paid subscribers included. That’s deliberate: ad revenue there is the creator’s and artists’ income, so it’s never switched off. Music streaming is different: the free tier hears the platform rotation (spots under 15 seconds, capped frequency), while fans paying $3/mo and up stream music ad-free.
How it works today
- 1. Upload your spot (15 seconds or shorter) and choose targeting + how many impressions you want.
- 2. Our team auditions the creative (usually within a couple of business days). English-language creative, or an English transcript, keeps review moving.
- 3. Once approved, it joins the platform rotation in free-tier music streaming.
Pricing is set per-campaign at approval. You’re only charged once your creative is approved — a declined spot is never charged.
Coming: advertise through a creator directly
We’re building channel-level advertising: find the creator whose audience fits your brand and submit your spot through their channel’s own intake, on their terms. That creator-curated market is the model this platform is built around — the platform-level rotation above is how you reach listeners while it comes online.
