Recorded over two nights in a rehearsal room with a broken radiator that hums in B flat. We kept the hum. The take you are hearing is the second one. The first was cleaner and we hated it — the whole point of the piece is that the platform noise never resolves, so a tidy performance was arguing against the song. You can hear a train pass under the bridge at 0:48; that was not planned and we stopped trying to edit it out on the third attempt.
