VL Radio Broadcaster Agreement
Effective June 29, 2026 · Version 2026-06-29.1
This Agreement governs operation of a VL Radio (VLDJ) station and is in addition to the Vinylaunch Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with those, the more protective restriction applies to your station.
In plain language
- •Everything you stream comes from on-platform music only — nothing imported or routed in from off the platform.
- •Programming stays about the platform’s music & artists — Music Talk / News / Interview are great; no world news or political-opinion shows.
- •Voice drops are your own voice — no off-platform songs, no licensed sound effects, nothing from a licensed work.
- •No bullying — or harassment, hate, or anything illegal — on air.
- •Ads between songs follow the same policies.
- •Rate each session accurately — All, 16+, or 18+.
- ✓You keep ownership of your voice drops.
1. What this covers
This VL Radio Broadcaster Agreement (this “Agreement”) is between you (the “Broadcaster,” “you”) and Vinylaunch LLC (“Vinylaunch,” “we,” “us”). It governs your operation of a VL Radio station (a “Station”) — including the sessions you curate, the broadcasts you put on air, any voice drops you record or upload, and your conduct on air. By accepting this Agreement at signup and by operating a Station, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not operate a Station.
2. On-platform content only
Everything your Station streams must come from on-platform resources. Your sessions may only contain music and audio made available through Vinylaunch and cleared for VL Radio use. You may not broadcast audio sourced, ripped, captured, re-streamed, or imported from anywhere off the platform, and you may not route external audio (another service, a file on your device, a line-in feed) into a broadcast. The platform handles applicable music licensing and reporting for on-platform sound recordings; you must not separately stream content that has not been cleared through Vinylaunch.
3. Music-focused programming only
VL Radio is a music platform, and your Station’s programming must be about the platform’s music and artists. Talk formats are welcome when they serve that purpose — for example Music Talk, Music News, and Music Interview segments that discuss platform artists, releases, and on-platform happenings.
VL Radio is not a venue for general-interest or off-platform programming. You may not operate a Station as a world-news, current-events, or political-opinion show, and you may not broadcast talk content unrelated to the platform’s music and artists. Spoken-word segments are subject to the same on-air conduct rules below and must remain music- and platform-focused.
4. Voice drops — your own voice, nothing licensed
A voice drop must be your own original spoken-word recording — an intro, segue, or station ID. A voice drop must not contain any licensed or third-party content, including but not limited to: off-platform songs or excerpts of songs; licensed or stock sound effects; music beds, jingles, or production music; or audio taken from any film, show, game, recording, or other body of work you do not own. You represent that you hold all rights to every voice drop you create and that it infringes no one’s copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights. You retain ownership of your voice drops; you grant Vinylaunch a non-exclusive license to host, transmit, and play them as part of your broadcasts.
5. On-air conduct
Your on-air conduct — in voice drops and anywhere your Station communicates — must follow Vinylaunch’s community guidelines. In particular:
- Absolutely no bullying, harassment, threats, or targeting of any person or group.
- No hate speech or content that demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any protected characteristic.
- No incitement of violence, no promotion of self-harm, and nothing illegal.
- No sexual content involving minors of any kind, and no content that sexualizes minors.
- No impersonation, deceptive “fake live” claims, or misrepresenting who is broadcasting.
6. Advertising
Any ads that air between songs on your Station — whether served by Vinylaunch or, where permitted in the future, sold by you — must comply with Vinylaunch’s advertising policies and all of the conduct rules above. Ad content must be truthful and lawful, must not target or exclude listeners unlawfully, and must not contain prohibited content. You may not insert, overlay, or substitute advertising outside the platform’s ad mechanisms.
7. Audience ratings
You set an audience rating for each session — All listeners, 16+, or 18+ — and you are responsible for rating it accurately for the content you broadcast. Vinylaunch enforces 16+/18+ sessions by a listener’s date of birth on file, but an accurate rating is your responsibility: mature, explicit, or age-sensitive talk must carry an appropriate rating. Mis-rating content is a violation of this Agreement.
8. Your responsibility for content
You are solely responsible for everything your Station broadcasts. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary for your sessions and voice drops, that your broadcasts comply with this Agreement and all applicable laws, and that they infringe no third-party rights. Vinylaunch does not pre-screen broadcasts and is not responsible for Broadcaster content.
9. Reporting, takedowns, and repeat infringers
Vinylaunch may remove content, suspend a broadcast, or disable a Station that we believe violates this Agreement or the law, and we respond to valid copyright notices under our DMCA / takedown procedures. We may terminate the Stations of repeat infringers. You agree to cooperate with takedown and dispute processes.
10. Monitoring, suspension, and termination
We may monitor broadcasts for policy and legal compliance and may suspend or end your Station — with or without notice — for a violation of this Agreement, to comply with law, or to protect the platform, its artists, or its listeners. You may stop operating your Station at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, representations, indemnity, disclaimers, and limits of liability) survive termination.
11. Recording and retention
Broadcasts and voice drops may be recorded and retained for moderation, dispute resolution, royalty and usage reporting, and legal compliance, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
12. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Vinylaunch and its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents, from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Station, your broadcasts or voice drops, your conduct on air, or your breach of this Agreement, the Terms of Service, or applicable law.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
VL Radio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vinylaunch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your operation of a Station. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement. If we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, ask you to re-accept before continuing to broadcast. Continuing to operate a Station after an update means you accept the updated Agreement.
